By confirming your booking and paying the booking fee, you are entering into a contract with Becky Gould Makeup Artist and agreeing to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
All bookings are subject to availability and are not considered confirmed until the booking fee is paid in full.
Preliminary communications or informal agreements do not constitute a confirmed booking, if the booking fee is not received promptly, the availability of the preferred date cannot be guaranteed.
The non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date and final confirmation of the booking will be provided upon receipt of payment.
Services Provided
The services provided by Becky Gould Makeup Artist are primarily focused on Bridal Makeup and are subject to the terms detailed below.
Bridal Makeup Bookings
A non-refundable booking fee of £70 is required to confirm your bridal booking. This fee covers administrative costs, time reserved exclusively for you, and potential loss of other bookings for your date. It guarantees my availability on your wedding day and is provisionally reserved once the booking fee is paid. The non-refundable booking fee also covers the cost of the bride’s trial appointment and holds your wedding date for 72 hours following the trial. The booking fee will be deducted from the final amount due for services. All payments must be made via bank transfer. If, after the trial appointment, the client decides not to proceed with the booking, the provisional date will be released.
Trial Appointments
Bridal trials are highly recommended and can be booked once the non-refundable booking fee is paid. Trials are held at Becky’s home in Charnwood, LE12 on Fridays or Saturdays, subject to availability and should ideally be booked 3 months before the event.
Upon satisfaction with the trial makeup, a record of products used and images will be documented for reference. If the trial appointment needs to be rescheduled, every effort will be made to find a convenient alternative.
On the event day, some changes to the trial look may be necessary due to factors like skin tone or type changes (e.g., after applying a tan or from oily to dry), or the creative nature of the makeup.
If the Client chooses not to have a trial, Becky cannot accept responsibility if the chosen style or look does not work on the event date and no refunds will be given.

Large Bridal Party & Additional Assistance
For bookings consisting of five (5) or more individuals, or in cases where time constraints exist, an additional makeup artist or assistant may be required. The decision to include an assistant will be based on factors such as the number of people in the booking, available preparation time, the time of the event, venue access, and the location of the booking on the event day.
Becky will assist in sourcing a qualified assistant or second artist. The additional artist will be fully insured, experienced, and held to the same professional standards to ensure consistent quality.
Additional Artist Fee: If an additional artist is required, a fee of £65.00 will apply, this fee covers the organisation and administrative time spent sourcing, liaising, and arranging the assistant artist.
Early Start Fee: An early start fee of £35.00 will apply if makeup services are required to commence prior to 5:30 am, the need for an early start fee will depend on factors such as the event time, departure time, access to the venue and the location where preparations will take place. This will be discussed with the Client in advance, and they will be notified if an early start fee applies.
All bookings are subject to a minimum of three (3) people and a maximum of five (5), unless otherwise agreed. If your bridal party exceeds this limit, please contact Becky directly to discuss the possibility of arranging additional assistance if required.
The Event Date
Becky will arrive at the agreed location at a pre-discussed time, a room with natural lighting is preferred, or a space near a window for setup. Becky can bring a tall chair and makeup lights if necessary. The makeup application will be completed at least 1 hour before the ceremony or departure to allow for final touch-ups.
Payments & Payment Schedule
All payments are to be made via bank transfer, cheques are not accepted.
A non-refundable booking fee of £70 is required to secure the booking and holds your event date in Becky’s diary, this amount will be deducted from the total quoted balance.
Payment Schedule
-
Payment for any bridal party trials in booked must be made at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
-
Upon completion of the trial, if you are happy to proceed with your event date booking, 50% of the total event balance is due within 72 hours to confirm your booking
-
The final remaining balance is then due 30 days prior to the event date, failure to make payment by this deadline may result in the cancellation of services.
Additional Trials: Additional trial appointments requested after the initial trial are available at an additional fee, this includes instances where the client decides to change the style previously tested or wishes to explore additional looks. Completed trial appointments or any work already carried out by the makeup artist are non-refundable.
Additional trials are charged at £60.00 per session.
Adjustments & Refund Policy
If fewer services are required on the event date than originally booked and paid for (e.g., if the number of people requiring makeup reduces), no refunds will be issued.
Please note that no payments can be accepted on the event date itself.
If individual bridal party members are covering their own costs, the Client is responsible for collecting and submitting the full payment to the Makeup Artist when the balance is due.
By proceeding with the booking, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.
Allergies, Skin Concerns & Client Responsibilities
To ensure safety and satisfaction, all clients must complete a pre-service consultation form prior to any trial. It is the client’s responsibility to disclose all allergies, sensitivities and health concerns that may affect the use of makeup or skincare products. This includes providing information for all members of the bridal party involved in the booking.

While a patch test for every product used during the service is not always feasible due to the variety of products applied (e.g. foundation, skincare, eyeshadows, lip products), a patch test for key products such as foundation or skincare can be arranged upon request at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
Becky is not liable for any allergic reactions, sensitivities or skin issues arising from products or tools, especially in cases where the client has failed to disclose relevant information. Clients are encouraged to review the products being used and may provide their own products if they have specific concerns or preferences.
Contraindications and Hygiene
The client must notify the makeup artist as soon as possible if they or any member of their bridal party has any contagious skin or eye conditions (e.g., cold sores, conjunctivitis) before the trial or event date. Becky reserves the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting signs of contraindications, contagious conditions, or health and hygiene risks. If a member of the bridal party is refused service due to undisclosed health issues, no refunds will be issued.
Becky cannot be held liable for any losses, reactions, or damages resulting from the client’s failure to disclose known allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions or contagious health issues.
Becky reserves the right to refuse services to any client or bridal party member displaying abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.
Photography
By proceeding with the booking, the Client consents to the use of event images for marketing, advertising, and portfolio purposes, including but not limited to the Makeup Artist’s website, social media, and promotional materials.
If the Client objects to the use of their event images for such purposes, they must notify Becky Gould Makeup Artist in writing via email at beckygouldmakeup@hotmail.com prior to or immediately following the event. Becky will respect the Client's wishes and will not use images for marketing if such a request is made. This consent is in compliance with GDPR guidelines and ensures that any personal data, including images are processed in accordance with the applicable data protection laws.
Cancellations
In the unfortunate event that the client needs to cancel their event booking, notice must be given to the makeup artist as soon as possible in writing. The following cancellation policy applies;
-
6 months or more before the event: The non-refundable booking fee will be retained to cover administration, loss time and income from turning away other potential bookings and the trial appointment (whether or not it has gone ahead).
-
3-5 months before the event: 50% of the total fee is required to cover administration, loss time and potential losses of having to turn away other bookings on your reserved date and cover your trial appointment (whether or not it has gone ahead).
-
2 months or less before the event: Full payment is due as agreed at the time of booking, will remain due to cover administration costs, potential losses of other bookings on your reserved date.
No refunds can be given for cancellations of services on the event date.
If the client needs to cancel a trial appointment, cancellation of 48 hours’ notice or more should be given, if cancellation is given less than 48 hours the full trial fee will be charged at the agreed rate. If the client needs to cancel a trial appointment and gives 48 hours or more notice, Becky can arrange to reschedule the appointment free of charge.
For bookings where members of the bridal party cancel on the day of the event the booking fee is non-refundable for their service.
Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given will result in a refund to the client, excluding the non-refundable booking fee.

In situations where the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the makeup artist’s control (e.g., illness, emergencies, travel disruptions) every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part.
The client is advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
Postponements & Rescheduled Dates
If the Client needs to reschedule their event date, notice needs to be given to Becky in writing as soon as possible.
The booking can be transferred to a new date. Becky will work with you the best she can to move your booking to your rescheduled date, subject to availability.
All payments towards the rescheduled date are non-refundable should the new date then be cancelled or postponed for a further time. If the rescheduled date cannot be accommodated in Becky’s schedule, she will work with you to help you find a replacement makeup artist.
Changes to event dates are subject to availability and a £30 charge is payable at the time of amendment, this fee covers administrative costs and only applies when a date change is successfully accommodated.
If the client has to change the wedding date to another year a supplement fee may be applicable to bring in line with price increases for the year.
Travel Expenses & Accommodation Fees
Travel within a 10-mile radius of Charnwood, LE12 is included. For distances beyond this, mileage will be charged at £0.50 per mile.
The Client is responsible for covering any additional travel expenses, including parking, congestion charges, tolls, and accommodation. For venues over 2 hours away, accommodation the night before the event will be required, with costs agreed upon at the time of booking and added to the final balance.
Any travel costs, including subsistence (£50 per 24 hours) and parking charges, will be included in the final invoice and must be paid in full by the event day.
If other transport methods, such as rail or flight, are required, these will be discussed and agreed upon during the booking process.
Insurance & Equipment
Becky is insured by Salon Gold with public liability coverage of up to £3,000,000.
All products, tools, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to high industry standards.
Illness, Emergency Cover & COVID-19
In the event of illness, injury, or any emergency that prevents Becky from attending your booking, she will make every effort to find a replacement artist. Detailed trial notes and images will be provided to the replacement artist to replicate the desired look.
If no replacement artist can be found, all fees (excluding the non-refundable booking fee and trial payments for completed appointments) will be refunded to the Client.
The Client is responsible for notifying Becky of any health concerns or medical conditions that may affect the bridal party prior to the event. This will help ensure appropriate measures can be taken for the well-being of everyone involved.
The Makeup Artist reserves the right to decline makeup services for any member of the bridal party who shows symptoms of illness, has recently traveled to affected areas, or has had contact with anyone who has travelled to such areas within the last 14 days. This is in line with health and safety best practices, particularly during periods of heightened risk (e.g., COVID-19 or similar health concerns).
Please note, no refunds will be issued for cancellations on the day due to health concerns or illness. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the bridal party takes reasonable care with hygiene practices on the day of the event.
If the Client cancels the booking before the event due to venue cancellation, health concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, please refer to the Cancellation Terms as outlined above.

In such cases, all reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule services where possible, but no guarantees can be given. Clients are strongly advised to obtain wedding insurance to cover such eventualities.
